May you join us for a gorgeous spring evening to celebrate fabulous writers, enjoy tasty food and refreshments, and immerse yourself in publishing at one—or both!—of the West Coast literary salons we will be hosting this spring?
Spring is underway, the weather is warming, and we were wondering…May we have a moment of your time? In one month, we are hosting not just one, but two literary salons on the West Coast!
May 1st Salon, An Evening with Red Hen Press, Tia Chucha Press, and the Letras Latinas
Our first literary salon of May will take place at our home offices in Pasadena on Thursday, May 1. We love opportunities to open our doors to our vibrant community, and we hope you will join us in celebrating an array of wonderful authors! Enjoy the night with great food, great books, and even better company -- what better way to spend an evening?
This event will highlight six authors from Red Hen Press, Tia Chucha Press, and the Letras Latinas initiative from the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Latino Studies. These authors include William Archila (S is for, The Gravedigger’s Archaeology), Adela Najarro (Variations in Blue), Brent Ameneyro (A Face Out of Clay), Malia Márquez (City of Smoke and Sea), Jose Hernandez Diaz (Portrait of the Artist as a Brown Man), and Luivette Resto (Living on Islands Not Found on Maps), with Francisco Aragón (After Ruben) as our wonderful emcee.
