10 Hispanic/Latine Bookstores to Browse
Cannot believe we are at the last half of the year! Where did the time go? Doesn’t bother me too much since it means we get to celebrate Hispanic and Latine Heritage Month; una celebración para todos!
Before I dive in, allow me to introduce myself as the writer behind this post on Red Hen Press’s I Love Books Substack. My name is Samantha Diaz, a second generation Mexican-American and the Marketing and Media Coordinator at Red Hen. I’ve loved reading since an early age when I used to spend my summer days inside a bookstore. Books were an escape to another world, a world that was disconnected from my reality in the best way possible. So to be here today, writing this post for all of you during a heritage month that I hold dear, is the most memorable part of my job.
Not to get too sappy here, let me get back to the topic. Bookstores! Considering we LOVE bookstores, I wanted to share some locations owned and/or run by literary lovers of Hispanic and/or Latine heritage. Please look over the list of 10 Hispanic/Latine Bookstores to Browse and give their stores a look. If you have a favorite store by a Hispanic/Latine book lover that was not shared on the list, share them with us!
